The Illinois Novaree is a Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) based youth seminar facilitated by students of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. We utilize many of the unique research facilities/resources on campus to expose students to a broad variety of STEM fields. Typically, our seminar consists of two sessions run on two different Saturdays in April. During each session, students will engage in interactive and hands-on STEM classes taught on campus such as aviation, robotics, chemistry, radio, railroading, architecture, and much more.

After receiving positive feedback from parents and youth who attended during previous years, we’re excited to announce that we have begun planning for the 2017 Novaree! Our sessions for this upcoming year are set to be on April 8th and April 22nd. For more information about this year’s Novaree, click through the tabs found above. The cost for the event is $15, which covers an event patch and any class materials that may be required. We ask our students to please bring their own lunches to the event as we can’t provide food due to university regulations. Our flier can be found here.
